Have questions? You
might find your answer here.
1) How often do you service?
Our specialty is to provide you
with a weekly pick-up service.
Service days will depend on where in Calgary you are located. Call us
for more information on when we are in your neighbourhood.
We also offer one-time service for those who need us to clean up their
yards due to move-ins, move-outs, rental properties, clean ups before
special occasions such as family BBQs, back yard weddings, etc.
2) Will you come more than once per week?
Of Course! We offer a special twice/week service for a flat rate of $80
per 4 weeks. That's $20 per week or $10 a visit. You prepay $80.00 for
4 weeks service and we'll show up to clean your yard twice each week and
remove that nasty Poooh! Visit our Rates page or
purchase this option immediately from
here.
3) Why should we use Poooh Busters?
-
Regular removal of your pet's waste will allow you and your family
to enjoy your yard and spend quality time outdoors without having to
do the dirty work
-
Weekly clean-ups keep the smell to a minimum, your neighbours will
appreciate it
-
Rain water and melting snow carry pet waste into sewers and
waterways
-
Many types of bacteria, parasites, and viruses live in dog waste.
Harmful organisms such as Salmonella, E-coli, & Giardia that can be
transmitted to humans or other pets
-
People and pets can inadvertently step in the waste, tracking it
into your home
-
We are a completely professional pet waste removal service for
all of Calgary and surrounding areas. That is, pet waste
removal is all we do! We don't offer walking, sitting, grooming,
etc, etc. We concentrate on one thing and one thing only, keeping
your yard and healthy. We know our business, we're good at it and we love what
we do!
-
We are reliable, friendly and very flexible about our rates
and delivery days. We'll work with you to make it work
for you.
-
We have been in the business since 2004 and we
are competitive and reliable. Many companies have come along since
we have been around and they try to copy us. Let them try but they
will come and go, we will still be here long after they are gone.
4) Do we have to sign any kind of contract?
No contracts are required in order
to set up service.
5) Do we have to be home when you service?
It is not necessary for you to be
home. If you are home when we arrive, we would be more than happy to
introduce ourselves, meet your dogs, and discuss any special concerns
you may have.
6) Do we need to
lock up our dog(s) or keep them inside?
It all depends on your dogs and
your preference. The information we collect about your pets at sign-up
will let us know if this is required.
7) What do you do with the dog poop?
We dispose of all pet waste at the
City of Calgary landfills and do so according to by-laws set by the
city.
Don't be fooled by those other fly-by-night pooper scooper companies. We
are a legitimate "Pet Waste Removal" company. We
actually take the waste off-site and dispose of it for you. Unlike other
companies that only scoop your poop and then place it in your trash to
dispose of. When shopping around, ask if they take the Poooh away or
leave it behind. We take it away!
8) Is there an extra charge for the first visit?
There may be depending what is
required on our initial visit. First time clean-ups generally require
more time and contain more waste.
There are specific things to consider. We'll ask you questions like:
9) How do we pay?
We accept personal cheques and
cash. And we also accept Visa, MasterCard or Interac Online via our
easy, online payment option. Just simply go our
Payment Page.
We will leave a door hanger on each visit letting you know how many
weeks of pre-paid service (or credits) you have remaining. Once they run
out just place your preferred method of payment in an envelope and place
it out in a convenient (and discreet) location on our next visit. Or
choose to use our convenient online payment method using your credit
card.
10) What happens during really bad weather or in
the winter?
Sometimes weather just doesn't
cooperate allowing us to do a good job of proper waste removal. In that
case, we will try to let you know ahead of time that we will not be able
to provide service that week. You will not be charged for the skipped
week and service will resume the following week as scheduled.
Also during the winter we can still continue with your weekly service
the same as during all other seasons but we do stop service during
periods of extremely cold temperatures. Our cold weather policy is
designed to protect our staff, we will not expose ourselves to
temperatures colder than -20 Celsius. Again your account will be
credited accordingly and service will resume the following week.
